At the Institute of Applied Physics we are proud to do state of the art experimental physics. The research groups at the institute focus on different aspects of quantum optics and technology exploring both fundamental physics and future applications of quantum mechanics.

Julian Schmitt receives Rudolf Kaiser Prize 2023
The Rudolf Kaiser Foundation awards annually the "Rudolf Kaiser Prize" to a young scientist in experimental physics.
IAP welcomes prof. Daqing Wang
Prof. Wang is starting a new research group at IAP. The group will work on the quantum interaction between light and molecules.
Jasbinsek-Kunkelmann Stipend for Julia Gamper
The stipend is given to an excellent student on master's level.
